NASA Robotics Challenge offers $1.5 Million Prize

NASA’s Sample Return Robot Challenge kicks off this week at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, Mass.  The competition runs from June 5 to June 7, and requires that robots be able to locate and return geologic samples without human control.

Eleven teams from around the world are registered to compete, hoping to earn the $1.5 million top prize.  More in the NASA Press Release, here.
